Durham, NH (SportsNetwork. Michael Crabtree Jersey .com) - New Hampshire has the nations top ranking and No. 1 playoff seed to motivate opponents, but the Wildcats announced they feel ready for the challenge by dispatching Fordham, 44-19, in the second round of the FCS postseason Saturday. UNH (11-1) extended its school-record winning streak to 11 games as its began its 11th straight appearance in the playoffs. The Wildcats will host eighth- seeded Chattanooga (10-3) in the national quarterfinals next weekend. The CAA Football champions had terrific offensive balance with 274 passing yards and 270 rushing yards. Nico Steriti rushed for a season-high 110 yards and a career-high four touchdowns on 14 carries to fuel the win, while quarterback Sean Goldrich passed for 240 yards and had 48 yards and a touchdown on the ground. If it wasnt for Fordham freshman sensation Chase Edmonds (208 rushing yards, 385 all-purpose yards, one touchdown), the score could have been worse for the Rams (11-3), the Patriot League champions who were coming off a first-round win over Sacred Heart. New Hampshire had six sacks of Fordham quarterback Mike Nebrich in the games first nine minutes and threatened to swamp the Rams. Jimmy Owens scored on a 51-yard run on the Wildcats first offensive play and Goldrich capped their second drive with an 8-yard scoring run on 4th-and-2 as they built a 14-0 lead in the games first 6 1/2 minutes. But two turnovers by New Hampshire kept the Rams in the game and they pulled within 14-12 in the second quarter on Edmonds 91-touchdown run and two Michael Marando field goals. The Wildcats then regained firm control of the game by halftime. Steriti scored on an 11-yard touchdown run with 3:07 left in the second quarter and Brad Prasky kicked a 30-yard field goal to end the half, pushing their lead to 24-12. Steriti scored on two more runs (1 and 7 yards) in the third quarter to sandwich around a Fordham score that was set up Edmonds 65-yard kickoff return and New Hampshire led 37-19 after three quarters. Steriti added his fourth touchdown on a 24-yard touchdown with 4:48 to play. Nebrich, averaging 312.5 passing yards per game, was held to 161 yards on 12- of-30 passes with one touchdown and one interception. Lawyer Milloy Jersey . After Mariota was pushed around by Stanford on Thursday, finishing 20/34 with 250 yards and two touchdowns in Oregons Title hope-crushing defeat, hes going to need a poor performance or two from the remaining frontrunners to have a shot at the most coveted individual trophy in college sports. Richard Dent Jersey . 1 Caroline Wozniacki and three-time champion Serena Williams cruised into the semifinals, while last years runner-up Vera Zvonareva succumbed to Aussie Samantha Stosur in Thursdays womens quarterfinal action at the U.The new Barclays Premier League season gets underway on Saturday and prior to the first kick, TSN.ca presents a week long look at some of the teams and stories that will shape the up coming campaign. While the top teams get the headlines, there are other squads, led by Everton and Tottenham, who are making a run at the Champions League qualifying positions. EVERTON Manager: Roberto Martinez Last Season: 21-9-8 (Fifth in Premier League – Qualified for Europa League) In his first season on the touch line for Everton, manager Roberto Martinez led his charges to their highest Premier League points haul in team history. This season they are setting their sights on being the next team to break into the top four and earn a place in the Champions League and havent been afraid to spend the money to show that intention. After both players starred in loan spells last season, Romelu Lukaku and Gareth Barry have been brought in on permanent transfers and both will be leaned on to lead both on and off the field. (The Canadian Press) Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman are two to the best attacking defenders in the game and midfielder Ross Barkley has shown his skills both domestically and internationally. TOTTENHAM Manager: Mauricio Pochettino Last Season: 21-6-11 (Sixth in Premier League – Qualified for Europa League) Mauricio Pochettino is the eighth manager in 13 years to take charge at White Hart Lane and as always it will be interesting to see how long his leash will be, especially if the team doesnt have a strong start to the season. The managers hard working approach paid dividends at his last stop at Southampton and if he can bring his fitness first style to Tottenham, they will be a hard team to play against. Not many changes were made to the squad that secured a top six finish last season despite the fact that most of the return they received from their transfer of Gareth Bale underperformed. Paulinho and Roberto Soldado are two players that did not settle well in their first seasons in North London and will need to have better sophomore campaigns for this team to progress towaards the goal of returning to the Champions League. Terrell Owens Jersey. SOUTHAMPTON Manager: Ronald Koeman Last Season: 15-11-12 (Eighth in Premier League) Normally there would be nothing but optimism following one of the great breakout seasons in the Premier League like Southampton enjoyed last season. The problem for them heading into the new season is that most of the reasons for that success will be plying their trade in other organizations. Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Dejan Lovren, Luke Shaw, Calum Chambers and manager Mauricio Pochettino have all moved on to other teams and opportunities. Jay Rodriguez and Morgan Schneiderlin are all that are really left to try to lead this team back to at the very least a top half finish, but even that could be optimistic considering transfer rumours continue to surround them as well. STOKE CITY Manager: Mark Hughes Last Season: 13-11-14 (Ninth in Premier League) After enjoying their best Premier League finish, Stoke City are hoping that manager Mark Hughes can continue the trajectory hes created since taking over for long time boss Tony Pulis. Captain Ryan Shawcross is going to once again be the key man for the Potters as they rely on him to control the action of the team going both forward and back to set the pace of the game. (The Canadian Press) They also count on him offensively to provide a key goal from time to time and if he can make that even more a part of his game, they will show marked improvement on the field and in the standings. NEWCASTLE UNITED Manager: Alan Pardew Last Season: 15-4-19 (10th in Premier League) Following a controversial season, long time Newcastle manager Alan Pardew will be hoping to have a much more normal and straightforward campaign. Remy Cabella and Emmanuel Riviere have both been brought in to strengthen the strike force and provide more offensive punch. Players like Moussa Sissoko, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Hatem Ben Arfa underachieved for Newcastle last year and will need to show a little more creativity to help this team make the leap Pardew has set forth for the team as a goal for the season. MILWAUKEE -- The Miller Park roof was open and the wind was blowing out to centre. Jim Plunkett Jersey . With a home run-prone pitcher on the mound for the Milwaukee Brewers, the conditions were ripe for the Cincinnati Reds to have a big day at the plate. Billy Hamilton got the slugging started by leading the game off with a home run, and the Reds finished Sunday afternoon with eight runs over the final two innings to send Milwaukee fans to the exits early in a 13-4 victory. Brandon Phillips added a two-run shot in the first inning and Todd Frazier later hit his team-high 15th homer for the Reds. Hamilton connected for the second straight day, off Marco Estrada (5-4). "We know we can do it, but we havent been doing it a lot," Frazier said. "Today, it showed we can do those (kinds) of things and we got a pitcher that we can hit a little bit." The Reds moved back within two games of .500 despite a rocky outing by Mike Leake (4-6), who allowed four runs on nine hits and three walks in five innings. Cincinnati took two of three from the NL Central-leading Brewers. "It was definitely big," manager Bryan Price said. "Were establishing the fact that we can play this team very well." His offence collected some gaudy statistics, including a season-high 19 hits. Among other highlights: --Ten different Reds scored runs. --A career-high three doubles for Ryan Ludwick, who went 4 for 5. --Six players with at least two hits. "Things didnt go right on the mound for us," Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said. Hot dog wrappers were blowing around the warning track early in the game, a bad sign for Estrada. The right-hander who made mistakes up in the zone has given up a major league-high 23 homers in just 84 innings, with 18 coming since May 1. "Mentally, I felt great. Physically, I felt great. I think I just tried way too hard and thats what happens," Estrada said. "I was rushing stuff, leaving balls up and got hit around. Once that inning was over, I came back in and calmed down." The Reds led 3-0 in the fourth when Milwaukee loaded the bases with two outs on an intentional walk to Jean Segura. Estrada followed with his RBI chopper up the middle and Scooter Gennett then sliced a double the other way down the left-field line to tie it. Milwaukee might have scored even more in the inning had Carlos Gomez not been doubled off first after taking off on Aramis Ramirezs long fly to right tracked down at the warning track by Jay Bruce. Frazier followed with his two-run shot the next inning to put Cincinnati up for good. Hamilton led off the inning with a single and drew a few pickoff throws before Frazier homered on an 0-1 fastball up in the zone. Leake gave up Jonathan Lucroys homer to centre leading off the bottom of the fifth to get the Brewers within 5-4 before the Reds broke it open with five runs in the eighth. Brewers reliever Rob Wooten allowed six straight hits without recording an out and watched his ERA balloon by nearly two runs to 4.98. "I did what I could, but our offence really came around today," Leake said. Lucroy added a double to go 2 for 4 and raised his average to .336. NOTES: Reds LHP Tony Cingrani pitched scoreless two innings in his first relief appearance since getting bumped from the rotation following the return of starter Mat Latos from the disabled list. ... Brewers LHP Tom Gorzelanny tossed a scoreless sixth inning in his season debut after coming off the disabled list Saturday. Gorzelanny had off-season shoulder surgery. ... The Reds have an off-day Monday before starting a series Tuesday in Pittsburgh. ... NEW YORK -- Dallas Mavericks point guard Raymond Felton pleaded guilty Wednesday in a New York gun case, taking a plea deal that involved admitting a felony but spares him jail. Felton pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. He admitted he knowingly had a large-capacity ammunition magazine and a semi-automatic pistol without a license. "Are those charges true?" Manhattan state Supreme Court Justice Larry Stephen asked. "Yes, sir," Felton said, later adding in a soft voice: "I apologize. I realize what I did was wrong." He was immediately sentenced to 500 hours of community service and ordered to pay a $5,000 fine. Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Rebold said Felton will be allowed to do the service outside New York. If he complies, the case will be closed without jail time or probation. "At this point, Raymond is looking forward to starting the next chapter of his life and focusing on success in Dallas," his lawyer, James Walden, said after court. The criminal case arose last winter, as Felton grappled with the breakup of his marriage and navigated a struggling season with the New York Knicks. He was traded to Daallas last month, two days after his plea plan was announced. Gordy Soltau Jersey. . The team declined to comment Wednesday. About a week after Feltons law student wife filed for divorce, her attorney brought a loaded semi-automatic handgun to a police precinct and said it was Feltons and she wanted it out of the house, authorities said. Walden has said Felton never threatened anyone with the gun. After police contacted Felton, he turned himself in shortly after a Mavericks-Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. Felton was charged under a state law that bans many large-capacity ammunition magazines. Prosecutors said Feltons could hold about 20 rounds. The NBA, which has said it is monitoring the case, had no immediate comment Wednesday. The league usually waits until criminal cases against players are resolved before deciding whether to impose any fine or suspension. Felton, 30, was a star at the University of North Carolina and was the fifth pick of the 2005 NBA draft. Besides Dallas and New York, hes played for the Charlotte Bobcats, Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers. Last season, Felton missed 17 games while battling injuries and averaged a career-low 9.7 points as the Knicks went 37-45 and missed the playoffs. ' ' '

JERSEY CITY, N. Vapormax 97 Noir Pas Cher .J. -- Matt Kuchar made the most of his short day at The Barclays. Kuchar didnt tee off until Friday afternoon at Liberty National and knew he had no chance to finish. He could barely see his ball cross the water and set up a two-putt birdie on the 13th hole that gave him the outright lead, and there was enough light coming from lower Manhattan across the Hudson River to hit his tee shot on the 14th. The horn sounded, and by then, he was ready to go home. Kuchar was at 10-under par with five holes remaining and had to return Saturday morning to hold his one-shot lead over Webb Simpson and Gary Woodland, who both finished the second round in the rain-delayed tournament. Simpson had to play 29 holes -- 11 holes to finish his first round in the morning, followed by his second round -- and he was ready to go more. He ran off six birdies over an eight-hole stretch and had a 5-under 66. "Its much nicer when youre playing well to keep playing. And when youre playing well, you feel like you could play 40 holes in a day," Simpson said. "My main goal ... I just wanted to get done today. It just felt nice to putt out on 9, knowing that Ive got tonight to sleep and catch up on rest." Woodland was one of the last players to finish at twilight Friday, and he finished strong. Woodland, back on track after a win at the Reno-Tahoe Open three weeks ago, birdied four of his last five holes for a 64 to join Simpson in the clubhouse at 9-under 133. "I feel ecstatic right now to be done," Woodland said. "It was a close call coming down the stretch if we would be able to finish. Luckily, I played great today, gave myself a lot of opportunities, and I drove the ball phenomenally and rolled some putts in, especially late." As for Tiger Woods, he couldnt get off the course fast enough. Woods challenged the target set by Simpson with three birdies in five holes -- he was two shots behind -- and he had a pair of par 5s in front of him. He failed to make birdie on either of the par 5s, and made three bogeys out of the bunker through the 12th hole to fall off the pace. He made birdie on the 13th, the last hole he completed, but was still five shots behind Kuchar, who was in his group. "I got off to a great start today and then lost it the middle part of the round and made too many mistakes," Woods said. He also said his back remained sore from what he said earlier in the week was due to a soft bed in his hotel that led to stiffness in his neck and bad. He said the pain increased throughout the round and when asked if a specific shot made it hurt, he replied, "Every one." "Im going to get treatment right now ... and be ready for tomorrow morning," Woods said. It was the second straight year at The Barclays he has said a soft hotel bed caused stiffness in his back. Last year, it caused him trouble in the third round. Rory McIlroy showed more signs of turning his game around. After three double bogeys on Thursday, he limited the mistakes with some nifty par saves and was at 5 under with two holes remaining, starting with a shot from the 17th fairway after a big tee shot. Kuchar stopped with his tee shot just short of the green on the par-3 14th, and he had no inclination to finish. ""I feel like in the morning, they will be perfect greens," he said. "A situation where Im on 18 and can pretty much have a proper nights sleep and not have to worry about going out, Ill finish on 18. But in this situation ... it was amazing, we were down on the last hole, 13, kind of a little bit down the hole and it was dark. I wasnt sure we were going to tee off on 14. Coming out over the water, it brightened up by a good margin. Its actually a beautiful skyline. "I think when the sun sets coming off, it was a nice little place to be this time of night." It looked even better atop the leaderboard, though theres still a long way to go -- and plenty of stars right behind him. Keegan Bradley set the tournament course record with a 63 and was at 7-under 135, along with Rickie Fowler (64) and Adam Scott, who was tied for the lead at one point until a lazy finish for a 66. Phil Mickelson, trying to retool his game after his British Open win, had a 69 and was seven shots behind the clubhouse lead. The last time The Barclays was at Liberty National, Heath Slocum won at 9-under 275. Since then, some of the landing areas were widened and the slopes on the greens were softened. Plus, the course was very little rough this year. And the soft conditions from the rain Thursday is making it easier to make birdies. For some players, their year was over. Ben Crane, after opening with a 67, had to withdraw with a lower back injury after playing just four holes of the second round. At No. 125 in the FedEx Cup, he wont be among the 100 players advancing to the second playoff event next week outside Boston. Lucas Glover withdrew with a hand injury, ending his season. The cut would not be made until Saturday morning, and Erik Compton needed two more rounds to try to qualify for the next tournament. He did his part, a birdie-birdie finish to get back to even-par 142. That was right on the line for making the cut. Vapormax Flyknit 2 Noir Pas Cher . There are a lot of good strikers in England so congratulations for that, Klopp told reporters. If I say I wish Daniel could have a real holiday and doesnt have to go to the European Championships, what kind of manager would I be? Klopp says Sturridge is in the best shape since the Germans arrival at Anfield It is the European Championships and playing for your country is the best thing a player can do, and I really wish for him to be part of it.The situation here is the best situation since I have been here; he trained all sessions with the national team, he had 65 minutes against Netherlands and was absolutely okay. NEW YORK -- Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira will be sidelined for at least three games because of a strained muscle in his back, the latest injury to slow the teams leading run producer. Air Force 1 Cheap China . Teixeira has been hampered by a left lower lat injury that was causing spasms in his back for about a month. The pain escalated during New Yorks weekend sweep of the Cincinnati Reds immediately following the All-Star break. "Throwing, hitting -- anything with any type of rotation, its been pretty painful," Teixeira said Monday before the Yankees played the Texas Rangers. "The spasms, unfortunately, have gone from my neck to my lower back, up and down the whole time. We just kind of put the fires out, and finally when the pain ratcheted up, it was one spot." An MRI administered Sunday showed a mild strain of the muscle. Teixeira was set to have a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection Monday night and will most likely sit out the entire four-game series against Texas. The Yankees will reevaluate Teixeira in a few days but manager Joe Girardi didnt think the injury would send Teixeira to the disabled list. "I think if we were concerned, really concerned, wed put him on the DL right away," Girardi said. After missing all but 15 games last season because of a wrist injury that needed surgery, Teixeira was looking forward to playing a full season. Its hardly gone as planned for the 34-year-old switch-hitter. He already has missed 21 games this year because of hamstring, back, knee and wrist problems. But he still leads the Yankees with 17 homers and 48 RBIs in 76 games. He is hitless in his last 13 at-bats. "I thought the year off last year would kind of give me a fountain of youth and its just made me rusty," Teixeira said. "Thats the way it feels. Its been something. Every game, its something. It turns out the Magic werent quite done turning heads. Victor Oladipo had 23 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter, and the Magic rallied to surprise East-leading Indiana Pacers 93-92 on Sunday night. Indiana stole Orlandos inbounds pass with nine seconds left and Paul George was able to get off a 20-foot jumper. But it came up short and was rebounded by the Magic, who ran out the clock. "Today going into the fourth quarter (coach Jacque Vaughn) just simply told us whoever plays hard is going to win the game. If you really want to win youll play harder than them," said Oladipo, who played the entire fourth quarter for the second consecutive game. "That second unit played hard, played together, and most of all we just played D, let our defence juice our offence." Orlando has now beaten the top teams in both conferences in back-to-back games, following its 17-point comeback against the Thunder. The victory ties the Magics season-high win streak of three games. It also extends their home win streak to five consecutive games. Nik Vucevic added 19 points and 13 rebounds. Vaughn praised the energy that Oladipo played with late. "It starts with his enthusiasm for basketball, and its really infectious to his teammates," Vaughn said. "They want to play for him, they want to play with him and Im sure glad hes in a Magic uniform." Before the game, Pacers coach Frank Vogel said that he didnt think his team was taking any games for granted prior to the All-Star break. He went as far as to recite Chuck Dalys old line to "never trust happiness in the NBA." There wasnt much Sunday as the Pacers had multiple defensive lapses in both halves which helped the Magic to hang around and eventually steal the game late. George led the Pacers with 27 points. Lance Stephenson added 16. The loss ends Indianas win streak at four games. Vogel said his teams inability to stave off a third quarter push by the Magic was the difference. "They piccked up their energy," he said. Dave Krieg Jersey. "Weve got to handle it. There was a stretch there in the third where we could have put them away. We were a little careless with some possessions ... and it was costly." The Pacers carried over some of their momentum from the first half and built as much as a 17-point lead in the third quarter. That advantage was cut to 10 entering the fourth. Orlando recovered some of its early-game energy, and started the final quarter on a 14-3 run to take its first lead of the second half -- 78-77 -- with less than 8 minutes to play. It would grow as high as 88-81 before the Magic cooled off -- missing four straight shots -- to allowed the Pacers to cut it to 88-86 on a 3-pointer by George. But the Magic found their shot and got their lead back up to six with just over a minute to play. Another 3-pointer by George on the other end trimmed it back to 92-90 with 37.7 seconds remaining. That was followed by an offensive foul on Oladipo which turned the ball back over to Indiana. George got free at the top of the key for another attempt from 3, but his shot bounced off the back of the rim and was grabbed by Oladipo, who was fouled. He connected on 1 of 2 free throw attempts, leading to a scramble for the rebound that ended up in a jump ball between David West and Glen Davis. West tapped it near midcourt, and George Hill was able to scoop it up and sprint ahead for a layup to cut it to 93-92 with just 14.9 seconds left. It wasnt enough, though. "We are good," George said. "This is obviously a game we got to take care of ... but we are still positive. It happens. We just have to do a better job and learn from this." And for the second straight game, the Magic were able to turn their early mistakes into late-game mettle. While it is only two wins, Magic veteran guard Jameer Nelson said they are certainly victories to build on for this young team. "Ive always said its a process," Nelson said. "Youre not gonna just become a great team overnight. Not too many teams have done that. You have to work on it; you have to learn and get better." Note: Nelson celebrated his 32nd birthday on Sunday. BOSTON -- The Boston Red Sox are still looking for a position for Brock Holt. Nike Air Max 1 Store . The versatile rookie has made the search difficult by playing well wherever the club has put him. Holt made his first professional start in centre field and he appeared perfectly comfortable in his fifth position this season. He made a sensational diving catch to end the third inning and scored both Boston runs in the Red Soxs 2-1 win over the Minnesota Twins 2-1 on Tuesday night. "It seems like Brock at some point in each game has an effect on whats going on," said Jon Lester, who weathered a shaky start and pitched six-plus strong innings. "Im sure well see him with catchers gear or on the mound at some point this year. The guys done an unbelievable job." Holt ended the third inning with a diving catch on a ball that left fielder Jonny Gomes lost in the twilight. Gomes signalled with his hands that he couldnt see it, but Holt was already on the move and lunged just in time to complete the catch. "Fortunately I was able to get over there and make a play," Holt said. Boston fans gave him a long ovation during his entire trot to the dugout, and teammates waited with high-fives and pats on the back on the way. Holt happened to be up next and led off with a double off the Green Monster, stole third and scored on a sacrifice fly to put the Red Sox up 2-0. "He comes out of nowhere and makes a diving catch. In a way, he took over the inning," Boston manager John Farrell said. "He doesnt get hung up on moving to a position for the first time. He goes out and plays." Holt scored Bostons first run after he singled and then came in on an RBI double by Dustin Pedroia. Lester (8-7) needed 33 pitches to get out of the first inning on a hot, muggy night, then settled down and took a shutout into the sixth. He left with one out in the seventh after striking out six and holding the Twins to one run, four hits and a walk. Edward Mujica pitched the ninth and earned his second save. Phil Hughes (7-3) took the loss for the Twins, who have dropped four straight. The Red Sox have held Minnesota to one run and seven hits in the first two games of the series. Hughes gave up two runs and eight hits in eight innings and struck out six. "He did all he could do. He gave us a great opportunity to win. We just couldnt come up with enough big hits," manager Ron Gardenhire said. After Danny Santana opened the game with a single,, Lester retired 13 of the next 14 batters and didnt allow another hit until Kurt Suzuki singled with one out in the fifth. Minnesota cut it to 2-1 in the sixth when Santana led off with a double, moved to third on a bunt by Brian Dozier, and scored on Joe Mauers double. "We need to knock in some runs," Gardenhire said. "We need more of them." Pedroia nearly broke open the game on a fly ball to left that was inches short of a two-run homer. Instead, it was a single, and Pedroia was caught in a rundown. The play was reviewed for several minutes, and the call on the field stood.
